The BEST Packing List for Aruba
Okay, so if you ask my husband, I am a chronic over-packer. However, he ALWAYS has everything he need's when we travel. I saw this funny GIF and now every time he mention's my packing shenanigans, I picture this.
Even though I am usually an over-packer, my frequent trips to Aruba have helped me to become a smarter packer. The first thing you need to know is that Aruba is a very laid back destination. That being said, I would say that you can pretty well pack casual for and be just fine. That doesn't mean to say you won't want a nice outfit if your planning on enjoying an upscale restaurant.
Here is what I bring for a week long stay:
For Myself:
3 Lightweight sundresses
3 t-shirts
2 casual tops
3 pair of shorts
1 maxi skirt
Bathing suit and a sarong
Sunglasses and a Sunhat
Nice dress and heel's for a fancy evening out
1 pair of flip flops
1 pair of Keen's for hiking and for sightseeing
For My Husband:
3 Casual lightweight button ups (Think Hawaiian style)
3 t-shirts
4 pair of shorts
1 pair of casual pants
1 nice shirt and slacks for a fancy evening out
1 pair of flip flops
1 pair of walking shoes
1 nicer pair of shoes
For both of us in our carry on:
Our documents (Itinerary, Passports, ID's, and copies of all the aforementioned)
Our own snorkel masks (I love the full face versions so I bring my own)
Our medications
A sweatshirt for the airports and the flight
Neck pillows for both of us
Snacks for our carry on
Empty water bottles (I fill up after getting through security)
Toothbrushes
Roll on essential oil (I take a travel roll on to place under nose and sanitize my hands as needed)
Stick deodarant
Camera and charger
Extra chargers for phones including a pocket pre-charged unit
Gum and Ear plugs for use during take off and descent
Eye-shields for helping to shut out the light and rest
I have found that It is just as easy to pick up the Aruba Aloe products for skin care, Sunscreen and After sun care then to bring it with me. You may have favorites and choose to bring them from home, but I find it easy and I love the products.
That's it. That is my packing list in it's entirety. Of course you may need to tweak it to suit your situation best, but truly as an overall guide for a week in Aruba this is pretty much all that you need.
